This week I have been researching Reactive Neuromuscular Training. A System which uses external influence (such as resistance bands) to cause a reaction in the body that resets natural stability in a joint, posture or similar. Here is some interesting research in its applicability to shoulder rehabilitation.

“An RNT program as part of a sport-specific functional exercise progression can re-establish dynamic stability and neuromuscular control. Clinicians can employ these techniques to target specific levels of the CNS to establish appropriate reflex responses and functional stability at the shoulder.”

Green Tea! A favorite among healthy types, but what is the evidence for its usefulness? Check out Examine for the studies.

“The benefits of green tea catechins on lipid oxidation and related fat-burning pathways are achieved in a dose dependent manner. Significant effects in humans are noted only at high doses, such as 400-500mg EGCG equivalent per day (most Green Tea Extract supplements are roughly 50% EGCG). Fat burning effects are highly synergistic, almost dependent, on not consuming caffeine habitually. “
